We have an exciting opportunity for a Welsh-speaking Licensing Consultant to join our Commercial Development and Sales department on a permanent basis.  We operate a hybrid model of working and this role will mainly be working remotely with 1 day a month at our London Bridge office as an when required.

Ideally full time hours however job share will be considered.

About the Role
The Licensing Consultant is the main point of contact for a portfolio of Video Producer and Production Company licensees, overseeing and managing all of their licensing requirements, whilst maximising revenues and delivering excellent customer service

To achieve this, you will;

• Act as the main point of contact for licensees, ensuring they have the required licences in place to deliver their services, proactively identifying and resolving any gaps in their licensing requirements.
• Ensure customers are licensed under the appropriate licence scheme(s) and comply with the contractual terms and conditions, particularly in relation to the timely payment of licence fees and provision of reporting data so as to ensure prompt and accurate distributions for MCPS/PRS members.
• Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements, working with the Licensing Manager and other internal stakeholders to deliver changes.
• Work closely with colleagues in NMP and PRS operations teams to ensure efficient, timely and accurate flow-through of royalties and resolve internal queries (including member-initiated queries) in relation to own accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service for portfolio of accounts, developing effective working relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings and telephone contact.
• Maximise revenues through proactively monitoring accounts, including through desktop audits, to ensure that products/productions are reported and invoiced accordingly.
• Provide analytical support for negotiations with higher value accounts.
• Negotiate licence fees, terms and settlements (including audit settlements) with low to medium value accounts, including for one-off licences e.g. sync clearances.
• Present and network on behalf of PRSfM e.g. at music licensing seminars/events or music industry degree courses.

The salary for these positions are circa £27,500 - £30,000 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience.

About You
You will be able to converse and communicate effectively in the Welsh language.

You will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and a good understanding of all MS Office software. You can understand and interpret complex data whilst presenting information clearly and concisely. You are target orientated, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You are outgoing and assertive and able to establish a rapport with clients whilst communicating effectively. You will have proven influencing and persuasive skills and it is desirable to have previous negotiation and account manager experience.

The successful candidate will also have a good knowledge of Welsh music repertoire and it is advantageous to have knowledge of relevant industries and music rights, including good understanding of copyright law and PRS for Music.
