This position forms part of the Finance Team reporting to the RD&I Senior Finance Business Partner at Velindre Cancer Centre. The post holder will provide comprehensive financial management support, advice, and information across the Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) portfolio within Velindre University NHS Trust. 

The role will support the delivery of a high-quality financial management service, ensuring accurate financial reporting, monitoring, and forecasting of RD&I activity and budgets.  

Key responsibilities will include the production of timely and accurate monthly financial reports, annual and ad hoc costing work (including the costing of research studies and clinical trials), financial analysis, providing financial advice, and support to RD&I management team and budget holders. 

The post holder will contribute to the effective financial planning and management of RD&I activities, ensuring resources are utilised efficiently and in accordance with Trust policies, funding requirements, and strategic objectives.
