Do you have excellent customer service skills?  If so, we are looking for flexible and effective communicators who are at home communicating with customers using digital communication (telephone, webchat and social media) to provide information and advice to our customers.

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government. We provide an essential, all-age, independent, impartial and bilingual careers guidance and coaching services in Wales, including the Working Wales programme.

Employability Coaches (Welsh Essential) – Careers Wales Connect

Salary: £26,276–£28,256

The starting salary is £26,276  

We have 2 full-time opportunities in Careers Wales Connect (CWC).  Full-time is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  The CWC service is open from 9am to 5pm, postholders will be required to cover these opening hours on a rota basis.

These posts are digital so the successful candidates can be based anywhere in Wales. These roles will predominantly be working from home but you will be assigned an office base and will be required to attend an office as required by the business.

Welsh language skills: The ability to speak and work through the medium of Welsh is essential for these roles.  You will be able to understand and communicate clearly on every day and work-related topics, hold conversations, and explain ideas, experiences and plans with confidence.

The successful applicant will be working with a varied client group including young people in their final year of education who want to move on to work or training, parents, adults who are unemployed and seeking support to enter the workplace, and people in work who are looking for a career change.

Our Employability Coaches

  •  support and inspire their clients to secure the best possible career available for them;
  •  provide information and advice to support clients to manage their careers;
  •  provide employability support (help with CVs, Job Searching activities etc) to those seeking to return to work or to change jobs;
  •  help clients achieve sustained positive outcomes (education, training, employment).

Employability Coaches should be educated to Level 3 standard or equivalent, ideally in a related area, or have experience of working at this level.  If you do not already have the Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice, we will provide you with the training and support you need to achieve this valuable qualification.

Additional requirements

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
