Help Power Wales’ Renewable Future

Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru is Wales’ publicly owned renewable energy developer, established to maximise the benefits of renewable energy for Wales and its communities. We are developing a portfolio of renewable energy projects across the Welsh public estate, helping to deliver a cleaner, more sustainable future while generating long-term value for the people of Wales.

We’re looking for an experienced Land & Property Manager to lead land-related activities across a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Development Director, you will secure and manage the land rights, agreements and stakeholder relationships needed to progress major renewable energy developments from early-stage development through to construction and operation.

You will:

  • Lead negotiations for utility scale onshore wind and solar land agreements, including associated access and grid agreements.
  • Build strong relationships with landowners, occupiers and key stakeholders.
  • Manage external land agents and legal advisers.
  • Identify and mitigate land-related risks and opportunities.
  • Support planning, consenting and project delivery activities across Wales.

About You

You will have:

  • Significant experience in land, property, rural surveying or infrastructure development.
  • Experience of securing land rights for utility scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships and external consultants.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • RICS, CAAV or similar professional membership (or progress towards membership).
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Wales.

Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or major development projects would be advantageous. Welsh language skills or the willingness to learn are desirable.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in delivering nationally significant renewable energy projects and help shape Wales’ low-carbon future from the ground up.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • 28 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Defined contribution pension scheme
  • Meaningful work with lasting impact across Wales
