Equalities and Welsh Language Officer
We are recruiting an Equalities and Welsh Language Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 12 months

We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 – £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly County Borough Council is looking for a passionate and driven Equalities and Welsh Language Officer to join our Equalities and Welsh Language Team, and help shape a more inclusive, fair and equitable future for our communities.
This is a key corporate role supporting the Council to meet its statutory duties and Welsh Government commitments in relation to equality, diversity, inclusion and the Welsh language.
You will play a leading role in driving forward the Council’s response to the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan, working across services to embed inclusive practice, influence decision-making, and deliver real, measurable change.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work at a strategic level while also delivering practical initiatives that improve outcomes for residents and staff.

For the role, we ask that you:
- Hold a relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales
- Are a fluent Welsh speaker
- Have knowledge of equality and Welsh language legislation with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively to inform organisational strategy and service delivery. Are able and committed to attend meetings, seminars outside normal working hours.
- Experience of contributing to strategic programmes or action plans.
